Some love stories span lifetimes, and ours began all the way back in 1998 at Rock Chapel Elementary School. We had no idea then that sitting in the same classroom would one day lead us here—planning a life together.



We grew up side by side through elementary, middle, and high school, always sharing small moments as distant friends. There were a few dates along the way (including being each other’s Valentine once!), but life had other plans for us—until it brought us back together at just the right time.



In 2021, we reconnected and had our first “official” date at Hal’s Steakhouse. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and it felt like no time had passed at all. That night was the start of something we had both unknowingly waited years for.



Since then, we’ve made countless memories traveling together—starting with our first getaway to Charleston and continuing with adventures in Boston, Seattle, Austin, and Tucson. Each trip brought us closer, and in December 2023, we moved in together, making our home truly ours.



On July 30th, 2024—our 2-year anniversary—Marvin created the most unforgettable moment yet. After a long day at work, I came home to find our apartment sprinkled with rose petals, candles glowing, and John Legend playing softly in the background. There he stood, dressed to the nines while I came in looking anything but date-ready. He told me how much he loved me and how he couldn’t imagine life without me. When he placed a pillow down and got on one knee, it finally hit me—he was proposing! Through happy tears and screams of excitement that lasted the rest of the day, I said yes to forever.



From childhood classmates to lifelong partners, our journey has come full circle in the most beautiful way. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of the people who have loved and supported us along the way.
